Quality Control
Quality Control is all about structuring the data in a meaningful and useful format. Some examples include: Missing Mandatory Fields, Clery Hierarchy Violations, Hate Crime Verification, and Arrests without Mug Shots.
- Hierarchy Rule - When counting multiple offenses, you must use the FBI's UCR Hierarchy Rule. This rule requires you to count only the most serious offense when more than one offense was committed during a single incident. Custom Web Reports builds quality control pages that catch hierarchy violations and improves your accuracy.
- Missing Mandatory Fields - in order to calculate your Clery statistics there are mandatory fields that required the appropriate data. Occassionally users leave these fields blank and inadvertently conceal a required statistics. Quality control catches missing mandatory fields and gives users an opportunity to correct mistakes before they happen.
- Duplicate Names - Controlling the number of duplicate names and consolidating them is all part of quality control. Duplication names cause fragmentation in the master name history and fail to give a complete and comprehensive
view of your data. Quality control will reduce of the number of duplicate names and improve your database integrity.
A Quality Control page will give your employees an opportunity to correct their mistakes before the reports are even reviewed. Catch your mistakes before you make them with Custom Web Reports Quality Control pages.
